From humble beginnings to CEO
Roman grew up in Ukraine, in a family with limited resources. He founded his first company at the age of 20, managing 200 remote employees worldwide. It has been a steep learning curve for Roman, which has certainly led to what he refers to as his “MBA” education.
Roman founded Able in 2018 with a mission to make health and wellness more accessible to everyone. He now manages a fully remote team of experts from around the world and maintains an agile work culture.
80% of American diets fail in the long run
Every year, 45 million Americans go on a diet, spending $33 billion annually on weight loss products. However, about 80% are unable to maintain their weight in the long term.
So, Roman figured out how to choose a healthy lifestyle coach for people and founded Capablewhich creates a personalized picture of health that takes into account sleep, stress and nutrition to help people lose weight in a holistic way.
Personal weight cheerleader in your pocket
Capable users receive a personalized plan for sustainable weight loss, better health and longer life. Since its launch, Able has amassed over 140,000 downloads and has already helped 21,433 women in their 30s successfully lose weight by changing their habits and behaviors, rather than through a restrictive diet.
Roman Taranov says: “One in two people in the US were interested in losing weight in 2021, but regular diets and strategies like calorie restriction create a yo-yo effect and do not solve the problem, as most people regain weight after a few months of restrictive regime. diet — so we wanted to personalize our offer as much as possible and bring real human contact back to the table.
“Offering a hyper-personalized human trainer as part of the unlimited possibilities Capable, it will support our users 100%. A chatbot cannot encourage someone to get off the couch and go to a workout. Or it may not motivate them to put down the donut and stick to their healthy and nutritious eating plan. But a human coach can, and that’s what sets Able apart. In addition, he is already helping thousands of people achieve their long-term goals. This is the future of digital wellness.”
